Watch the videos. Then tell me who the terrorists are.
Two US citizens were executed by federal agents in Minneapolis this month. Neither was breaking any laws. Both were 37 years old. The administration labeled both as violent terrorists. Video evidence contradicts every official claim.
This is state-sponsored terrorism, and the people responsible have names.
Renee Good
On January 7, 2026, Renee Good was shot in the head by an ICE agent after dropping her six-year-old son off at school. She was a mother of three from Colorado Springs. She was not a target of any immigration enforcement.
DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin labeled Good a âviolent rioterâ who committed âan act of domestic terrorism.â President Trump posted that she âviolently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer.â Secretary Kristi Noem called it âjustified self-defense.â
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian OâHara, who reviewed the video evidence, said it doesnât support self-defense claims. Mayor Jacob Frey called the federal characterization âbullshitâ and added: âThis was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in somebody dying.â
Alex Pretti
Seventeen days later, on January 24, 2026, Alex Pretti was shot multiple times by Border Patrol agents. He was an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA, spending his life caring for veterans. He had no criminal record. He was a lawful gun owner with a valid permit.
Video shows what happened. Federal agents pushed a woman to the ground. Pretti stepped between the agent and the woman, putting his arm around her to help her up. He had a phone in one hand. His other hand was raised. He was pepper-sprayed, wrestled to the ground by half a dozen agents, and shot at least ten times in five seconds.
An eyewitness said in a court document that Pretti was not even facing agents when they grabbed him: âIt didnât look like he was trying to resist, just trying to help [a] woman up.â
A pediatrician who witnessed the shooting from their apartment counted at least four gunshot wounds on Prettiâs body - three to his back, one to his upper left chest.
Video verified by Reuters and the Wall Street Journal appears to show an agent removing Prettiâs gun and moving away less than a second before another agent fired.
His final act was trying to protect a stranger.
What I saw
I watched the videos. All of them.
What I see in the Renee Good video is a mom trying to escape an escalating confrontation. Not a terrorist. Not an extremist. A mother who had just dropped her kid off at school.
What I see in the Alex Pretti video is a nurse trying to protect an innocent bystander. A woman had been shoved to the ground by a federal agent, and Pretti stepped between them to help her. He put his arm around her. He had his phone in one hand, his other hand raised. Watching the video, it sounds to me like his last words were âare you ok?â - spoken to the woman he was trying to protect.
Then he was pepper-sprayed, tackled by half a dozen agents, and shot ten times in five seconds. Three bullets in his back.
These werenât terrorists. These werenât extremists. These were neighbors. Community members. A mom. A nurse. People who saw something wrong happening and tried to do something about it.
The administration wants you to believe these were dangerous criminals who got what they deserved. The videos show something very different.
âThe Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.â
The lies
Within hours of Prettiâs death, the administration had their story ready.
Stephen Miller, Trumpâs deputy chief of staff, called Pretti âa would-be assassin.â
Gregory Bovino, the Border Patrol commander running the Minneapolis operation, claimed Pretti wanted to do âmaximum damage and massacre law enforcement.â When asked about Prettiâs death, Bovino told CNN: âThe victims are the Border Patrol agents. The suspect put himself in that situation.â
Kristi Noem, Secretary of Homeland Security, accused Pretti of being âa domestic terroristâ and said: âHe wasnât there to peacefully protest. He was there to perpetuate violence.â
Kash Patel, FBI Director, said on Fox News: âYou cannot bring a firearm loaded with multiple magazines to any sort of protest that you want. Itâs that simple.â
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez pointed out the contradiction: âHow rich is it that [Kristi Noem] is saying showing up to the scene of a protest with a legally owned weapon should be grounds for a personâs death, execution at the hands of the state, by the same party and the same administration that praises Kyle Rittenhouse.â
The National Rifle Association and Gun Owners of America - not organizations known for criticizing Republican administrations - both criticized the official statements.
Prettiâs parents responded: âAlex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trumpâs murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He has his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down all while being pepper sprayed.â
They added: âThe sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting.â
The federal investigation into federal killings
Both times, the federal government moved to control the investigation into its own agentsâ actions.
After the Good shooting, the FBI revoked Minnesota investigatorsâ access to evidence, reversing an earlier agreement for a joint investigation.
After the Pretti shooting, federal agents blocked Minneapolis police and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension from the scene - even after state investigators obtained a judgeâs signed search warrant. A federal judge had to grant a restraining order against DHS to prevent them from destroying evidence.
As of January 25, all agents involved in the Pretti shooting remain on duty.
Minneapolis Police Chief OâHara noted that of the three homicides in Minneapolis so far in 2026, two were committed by federal immigration agents. âThe Minneapolis Police Department went the entire year last year recovering about 900 guns from the street, arresting hundreds and hundreds of violent offenders, and we didnât shoot anyone,â he said.
Governor Tim Walz called it âthe consequences of governance designed to generate fear, headlines, and conflict. Itâs governing by reality TV, and today that recklessness cost someone their life.â
The shakedown
Hours after Pretti was killed, Attorney General Pam Bondi sent a three-page letter to Governor Walz. In it, she demanded Minnesota:
- Turn over state voter rolls to the Department of Justice
- Share Medicaid and food stamp (SNAP) recipient data with the federal government
- Repeal all sanctuary policies
- Give ICE full access to all state detention facilities
Bondi wrote that these âsimple steps will help bring back law and order to Minnesota.â
This has nothing to do with immigration. The DOJ has been demanding Minnesotaâs voter data for months, long before Operation Metro Surge began. Minnesota has refused, saying they fear the data would be used to target individuals. The state is already in active litigation with the DOJ over this demand.
Vice President Vance confirmed in Minneapolis on January 22 that the administration wants to use Medicaid and SNAP data for immigration enforcement: âWhat weâd like to do is talk to local officials and say, âYou know what, according to the Medicaid rolls, where was the last address this person was domiciled?ââ
Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon responded to Bondiâs letter: âThe answer is no. Her letter is an outrageous attempt to coerce Minnesota into giving the federal government private data on millions of U.S. citizens in violation of state and federal law.â
Simon added: âIt is deeply disturbing that the U.S. Attorney General would make this unlawful request a part of an apparent ransom to pay for our stateâs peace and security.â
Senator Chris Van Hollen called it âblackmailâ and said: âWhat theyâre saying is: âWeâll stop these lawless activities, weâll stop these killings of American citizens if you hand over your voter registration data.ââ
Representative Ruben Gallego called it âa shakedownâ: âTheyâre using fear to get their hands on voter information. In America, you donât get to strong-arm your way into our elections.â
DNC Chair Ken Martin said: âThey are trying to trade the presence of ICE and the murder and mayhem that they are causing for control of Minnesotaâs elections. Thatâs just wild.â
This is what the killings are for. Not immigration enforcement. Election control.
The domestic terrorist database
On January 23, 2026 - one day before Pretti was killed - an ICE agent in Maine was filmed photographing a womanâs car as she recorded their activity. When she asked why, the agent replied:
âBecause we have a nice little database, and now youâre considered a domestic terrorist. So have fun with that.â
DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin told Reason there is âNO database of âdomestic terroristsâ run by DHS.â But a leaked FBI-DHS memo obtained by journalist Ken Klippenstein shows the department broadening the definition of domestic violent extremists to include protesters taking âadvantage of First Amendment-protected activityâ - which includes recording law enforcement.
Court documents reportedly show that Border Patrol commander Gregory Bovino believes all protesters are âviolent riotersâ and has instructed officers to arrest protesters âwho make hyperbolic comments.â
Secretary Noem has said that revealing the identities of agents and videotaping them on operations constitutes âviolence.â
Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons announced that ICE intends to probe anti-ICE protesters and those who support them: âWe are going to track the money. We are going to track these ringleaders.â
In Minneapolis, Brandon SigĂźenza - a volunteer with a local group that monitors ICE activity - described in a sworn court declaration how federal agents surrounded his car, smashed out his windows, roughly arrested him, and detained him for hours. A federal judge ruled that plaintiffs were likely to succeed on their claims that federal officers engaged in targeted First Amendment retaliation. The judge found that the protestersâ and monitorsâ actions âdid not forcibly obstruct or impede the agentsâ work.â
You can now be labeled a domestic terrorist for filming police in America.
Blood on their hands
I want to be clear about who is responsible for these deaths.
Donald Trump deployed 3,000 federal agents to Minneapolis, has repeatedly labeled protesters as violent rioters and terrorists, and pardoned all January 6 defendants convicted of assaulting police officers.
J.D. Vance blamed Minnesota officials for the violence, saying ICE agents âwanted more than anything to work with local law enforcement so that situations on the ground didnât get out of hand.â
Stephen Miller called an ICU nurse who spent his career caring for veterans âa would-be assassin.â
Kristi Noem called that same nurse âa domestic terroristâ and said he âwas there to perpetuate violence.â She has said that filming federal agents constitutes violence.
Gregory Bovino claimed Pretti wanted to âmassacre law enforcement,â even as video showed Pretti being shot while face-down on the ground with half a dozen agents on top of him. Bovino was found by a federal judge to have lied under oath about his justification for throwing a tear gas canister at protesters in Chicago.
Pam Bondi used the killings as leverage to demand access to Minnesotaâs voter rolls, Medicaid data, and food stamp records.
These are not anonymous bureaucrats following orders. These are people with names who made choices. They chose to deploy armed federal agents into a city. They chose to label US citizens as terrorists. They chose to lie about what video evidence clearly shows. They chose to use the deaths of two Americans as leverage to seize control of a stateâs election data.
They have blood on their hands.
Accountability
These people need to be removed from power. Every single one of them.
Donald Trump and J.D. Vance should be impeached. They ordered the deployment of 3,000 federal agents into American cities. They have labeled US citizens exercising their First Amendment rights as terrorists. They are using the deaths of those citizens to extort states for voter data. This is not governance. This is an assault on the Constitution they swore to defend.
Kristi Noem and Pam Bondi should be impeached. They are cabinet officials who have overseen the extrajudicial killing of American citizens and then lied about what happened. They have used those killings as leverage to demand access to voter data. This is not a policy disagreement. This is criminal conduct.
Gregory Bovino should be fired immediately and prosecuted. He has been found by a federal judge to have lied under oath. He claimed a nurse who was shot in the back wanted to âmassacre law enforcement.â He is running an operation that has killed two US citizens in three weeks while all agents involved remain on duty.
Stephen Miller should be fired. He called an ICU nurse caring for veterans âa would-be assassinâ within hours of his death, before any investigation, contradicting video evidence.
The agents who pulled the triggers should be prosecuted for murder.
And when this regime ends - and it will end - we need our own Nuremberg trials. Not for revenge. For accountability. For the historical record. So that everyone who participated in state terrorism against American citizens, everyone who lied to cover it up, everyone who used those deaths to seize power over elections, faces justice.
âI was following ordersâ wasnât an acceptable defense in 1946. It wonât be acceptable here.
The people giving the orders have names. The people following the orders have names. History will record all of them.
What youâre seeing
Renee Good was a mother. Alex Pretti was a nurse. Neither was breaking any laws. Both were executed by federal agents in broad daylight. Both were immediately labeled as violent terrorists by the people who killed them.
The federal government is investigating itself. Evidence is being withheld from state investigators. All agents involved remain on duty. And hours after the latest killing, the Attorney General sent a letter demanding voter data in exchange for âlaw and order.â
This is not immigration enforcement. This is state terrorism deployed against American citizens to intimidate political opposition and seize control of elections.
Barack and Michelle Obama called Prettiâs killing âa wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.â They said the administration âseem eager to escalate the situationâ and have tried to explain the shootings âwithout any serious investigation - and that appear to be directly contradicted by video evidence.â
Jeff Cowmeadow, owner of a pub steps from where Pretti was killed, told CBS: âA neighbor was murdered. I just think that we need to stand together. We need to tell the truth about what we see, and not let others tell us about what we see.â
Have you ever dropped your kid off at school and then driven through your neighborhood? Youâre Renee Good.
Have you ever seen someone get knocked to the ground and felt the instinct to help them up? Youâre Alex Pretti.
Have you ever pulled out your phone to record something that didnât look right? According to this administration, youâre a domestic terrorist.
These werenât radicals. These werenât criminals. These were people who did exactly what you or I would do. And they were executed for it.
What do you see?
